Kent, Ohio is an historical town located on the Cuyahoga River twenty minutes east of Akron. It’s best known for Kent State and the events of 1970, but in recent years, the town has been expanding its restaurant scene, community events, and connection to the university, making it an exciting place to live. Known as the Tree City, the best time to be in Kent is fall for the changing leaves, and summer for all of the green—a welcome sight after the cold Ohio winter!

Bent Tree roasts and distributes the local standard for quality coffee. They’ll serve you a cup in their storefront, but you can sample their product almost anywhere coffee is served in Kent (marked with a “Proudly Serving Bent Tree Fine Coffees” sign). Bent Tree roasts their beans in-house and is extremely knowledgeable about each coffee they sell and the different brewing processes. They have merch as well, which you’ll want to sport proudly.
