Kent, Ohio is an historical town located on the Cuyahoga River twenty minutes east of Akron. It’s best known for Kent State and the events of 1970, but in recent years, the town has been expanding its restaurant scene, community events, and connection to the university, making it an exciting place to live. Known as the Tree City, the best time to be in Kent is fall for the changing leaves, and summer for all of the green—a welcome sight after the cold Ohio winter!

Every Saturday morning, local farmers set up stands selling vegetables, herbs, baked goods, meats, and a variety of other things to enjoy now or later. You can find the farmer’s market under the Haymaker bridge on Franklin Avenue in the summer, or indoors at various locations in the winter.
