Kent, Ohio is an historical town located on the Cuyahoga River twenty minutes east of Akron. It’s best known for Kent State and the events of 1970, but in recent years, the town has been expanding its restaurant scene, community events, and connection to the university, making it an exciting place to live. Known as the Tree City, the best time to be in Kent is fall for the changing leaves, and summer for all of the green—a welcome sight after the cold Ohio winter!

Not many people know about the conservatory, but it’s a great way to get away from the cold, gray winters of Kent. Students take care of the greenhouse and use it as a classroom, but anyone can go in and walk around during their hours. They have different rooms for different environments, and a coy pond in the main room. The employees are incredibly kind + knowledgeable!
