Mile-Ex

A former industrial hinterland located between the Mile End and Parc-Extension neighbourhoods, Mile-Ex is a thriving enclave of artists, small businesses, adventurous restaurateurs, as well as the city's more cutting-edge architecture and design studios. The area carries a raw authenticity that's hard to find in other parts of town.

Hidden inside an old auto body garage, 820 Plaza is a sparse industrial multi-purpose venue. A DJ console sits on a giant concrete slab at the far end of the space, while hand-picked records are carefully placed throughout. A selection of eye-catching art magazines and independent publications are placed on smaller concrete blocks. Past events here include a live show from Bataille Solaire, Temple Records launches and an Unsafe At Any Speed group exhibition.
