Prospect Heights
One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.

Ah yes, coffee. We need it, we love it, we must have it. And our new favorite spot for its consumption? Hungry Ghost. The atmosphere is excellent, a calm and relaxing little break from a busy Flatbush Avenue. And their Baristas? Well, let’s just say they’re obsessed with coffee — they’re after the perfect espresso — meticulously preparing single origin coffees, and serving the finest cold brewed iced coffee on tap. That’s right, on tap. It literally comes in a pint glass, and it’s amazing. As is Chef Pete Solomita, who makes an assortment of baked goods on the premises every day. Our favorites include his praline and sea salt brownies, raspberry ginger muffins, date walnut scones, and cheddar and black pepper biscuits. This place just makes the morning commute so much better.
