Prospect Heights
One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.

James is a charming, upscale restaurant, located on the residential block of Carlton Avenue. The dining room is a gorgeous modern-vintage space complete with a lucite chandelier, pressed-tin ceilings and cozy leather seating. They always have an enormous and impressive floral arrangement perched at the end of the bar, creating an inviting and just plain beautiful environment for their patrons. But don’t just go there for their looks, the food is just as pretty and equally delicious. We recommend the Sautéed Carolina Shrimp with Creamy Garlic Polenta, the Black Kale salad and the Seared Day Boat Scallops with Rooftop Arugula, Crispy Pancetta, Olives and Roasted Peppers. Oh! And Monday night is Burger Night with Happy Hour prices all night long. Don’t miss it - the burgers are to-die-for.
