One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.
High-quality, tasty coffee and pastries in an airy, elegant space.
The neighborhood has been waiting for a yummy bakery and now we have one! We visit Little Cupcake Bakeshop when we’re craving something sweet or when we need a special dessert for a celebration. Mint and black tiled floors and countertops overflowing with pink cake boxes make this a lovely space to share goodies with friends. And we adore the handpainted lettering on the windows, featuring delectable words like “LAYER CAKE” and “PUDDING”. They use fresh, sustainable ingredients from locally sourced farms and they serve only organic teas and non-GMO espresso. Favorites include the "Brooklyn Blackout” cake and the "Blue Velvet" cake, a moist buttermilk cake with blueberries from farms in New Jersey.
