Prospect Heights
One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.

This place is everything. From the same owners of Milk Bar just a few blocks away, Sunshine Co. is a bar and restaurant that literally serves up sunshine. They truly have it all: amazing cocktails, delicious food and a great atmosphere. We really could go on forever about the gorgeous interior - the smooth walnut chairs, the ribbed glass that creates hazy dreamlike lighting and the TILE. Best floor in Brooklyn! But we would add that they also have beautiful people (inside and out) as their staff. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with welcoming smiles and the service never faltered. We recommend the Cheese Toast with apple cranberry compote, house made ricotta, honey and arugula. Pair that with a Frankie Dettori cocktail (Four Roses Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, house-made cinnamon syrup, espresso, orange bitters) for a perfect afternoon snack.
