Austria Pavilion
The Austria Pavilion is dead simple and essential. A wooden box that contains a forest. A forest that gifts us 62.5kg of fresh oxygen every hour. 62.5 of oxygen given away to visitors, given away to all of us. A special micro-climate, a lowering of the temperature by a few degrees (due to the natural cooling effect of the plants' evapotranspiration), that is particularly appreciated by sweltering summer visitors. What else is there to say? Most of the pavilions were kitted out with devices to produce air conditioning. Not only does the Austria Pavilion not consume energy (to produce air conditioning), it gifts us energy (thanks to the plants). A real change of paradigm. It may seem trivial but it's not. But above all, it shows us that change is possible. A handsome, special pavilion which, instead of consuming energy, produces it. Then we could go on about the interactive binoculars, the other highly ingenious displays, Conchita Wurst, the bar, and the restaurant (not to mention the terrace). All super, but which, compared to the energy feature above, pale into second place. In any case, this is one of the most successful pavilions of all at Expo. A pavilion made from nothing, but that contains it all… And here's a possible [soundtrack](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaolVEJEjV4). Because if the swish contents are not accompanied by a pop element, everything gets harder (to remember that special day when Vladimir Putin and [Conchita Wurst](http://www.expo2015news.org/italian-lifestyle/5613/expo-milan-catwalk-vipmichelle-obama-conchita-wurst/) were visiting Expo at the same time).
