The Time Machine
We loved the Turkmenistan Pavilion a lot. We liked it because it's completely different from the other pavilions. To a certain extent, this pavilion can be seen as a marvelous time machine: you enter and go back to the middle of the 20th century. An exhibition approach that takes us back to the golden era of the Soviet Union: on show are all the consumer goods the country produces. Shelf by shelf, ledge by ledge, category by category, object by object. There's everything. Incredible, it brings the shivers! There's a flask of super petrol. A flask of lead-free petrol, another of diesel and another with a blend. Then there's a flask of kerosene and one of diesel. And so on, covering the range of product know-how. Amazing! Not since the times of [Diderot et D’Alembert](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encyclop%25C3%25A9die) have we seen such a systematic and exhaustive approach. In a world that sees more and more standardization every day, a hearty round of applause for our Turkmen friends. Then we just have to mention the phantasmagorical roof terrace (a breathtaking view) with nomad tent. And then: the [5D cinema](http://www.expo2015.org/en/news/all-news/visit-to-the-turkmenistan-pavilion--a-5d-cinema-takes-us-galloping-towards-the-white-city--view-the-gallery), the amazing graphics that project into the most unexpected places, and the superb restaurant. In short, a fantastic trip using very special ingredients. Congratulations!
