The Theater Neighborhood

As part of our trip round the city of Expo we've reached the theater neighborhood. More specifically, called here: “[San Carlo Open Air Theater](http://www.expo2015.org/en/open-air-theater-san-carlo)”. Roma has its Colosseum, Milano its San Siro stadium… ...Expo has its open-air theater. And now we're here. The event's opening and closing ceremonies, four months of shows “[Allavita](http://www.expo2015.org/en/allavita--cirque-du-soleil-)!” by the Cirque du Soleil, a large number of other performances (musicals and otherwise). Without counting the series of breath-taking national pavilions overlooking the open arena. Three, two, one… ...ready, steady, go! This neighborhood was overseen by the Expo 2015 Social Media Team. All the photos are by Beatrice Bianchetti and Anna Chiara Maggiolini.

Beerville!

Proceeding along the Decumanus, just after the crossing of the Cardo, we find the [Bottega Birra Moretti](http://www.expo2015.org/en/partners/birra-moretti-/-official-partner). A two-storey pavilion built entirely of recyclable material: copper, wood and glass. The shape of the building recalls the copper vat used in the traditional brewing process. The shape is circular to welcome visitors and make them feel at home. The Moretti range is wide: a good eleven types from bottled to draught beer, including a painstaking regional selection: Sicilian, Friulian, Tuscan and Piedmontese. To be enjoyed leaning on the bar, or sitting comfortably on the terrace, from which you can also enjoy a spectacular view of the nearest pavilions (in primis, Morocco and Qatar). And if the beer makes you feel peckish, no problem. The shop has a fine selection of piadine and fillings. Et voilà, a perfect aperitif!
