Pyrmont

Pyrmont has come a long way since it’s early days in Sydney’s history. It used to be a working class suburb and in the early 19th Century it was even considered a slum. Not anymore. It’s now a cultural hot spot full of fancy restaurants, creative agencies, awesome pubs and the Star – Sydney’s only casino… for now. Pyrmont is an old suburb that’s received a bit of a face-lift and it’s well worth a look around.

Pyrmont’s waterfront features several beautifully landscaped parks and walkways, but this one takes the cake and for good reason. The Australian institute of Landscape Architecture awarded Pirrama Park for it’s stunning design and when you see it, you’ll see why. It’s a local favourite for lunch with a view, or getting the heart rate up with a bit of exercise. You can run along the foreshore or join a fitness class on the grass. It also has a great picnic and BBQ area, as well as a playground for kids. And, if you’re brave enough, you can dip your toes in the ocean pool.
