Pyrmont

Pyrmont has come a long way since it’s early days in Sydney’s history. It used to be a working class suburb and in the early 19th Century it was even considered a slum. Not anymore. It’s now a cultural hot spot full of fancy restaurants, creative agencies, awesome pubs and the Star – Sydney’s only casino… for now. Pyrmont is an old suburb that’s received a bit of a face-lift and it’s well worth a look around.

Not a day goes by that we don’t get asked, “Which way to the Fish Market?” The Sydney Fish Market puts Pyrmont on the map. It’s the reason that tourists come here, even though Pyrmont has a lot more to offer than fish! But it really is a great, chaotic, place. Whether you’re buying some fresh seafood for tonight’s dinner, or enjoying a picnic style lunch with a view, the Sydney Fish Market is definitely worth checking out… especially during Christmas time. Holy moly it’s mental!
