Pyrmont has come a long way since it’s early days in Sydney’s history. It used to be a working class suburb and in the early 19th Century it was even considered a slum. Not anymore. It’s now a cultural hot spot full of fancy restaurants, creative agencies, awesome pubs and the Star – Sydney’s only casino… for now. Pyrmont is an old suburb that’s received a bit of a face-lift and it’s well worth a look around.

It’s the reason that tourists come here, even though Pyrmont has a lot more to offer than fish! But it really is a great, chaotic, place. Whether you’re buying some fresh seafood for tonight’s dinner, or enjoying a picnic style lunch with a view, the Sydney Fish Market is definitely worth checking out… especially during Christmas time. Holy moly it’s mental!
