Lakeview

Home to roughly 100,000 proud Chicagoans, Lakeview is a mix of energy. The neighborhood is unofficially divided into smaller enclaves: Lakeview East, West Lakeview, Southport Corridor, Boystown & Wrigleyville. It's a mix of the bustling, the peaceful and everything in between. Here you'll find tourists and residents alike vying for space at popular restaurants, cafes, biergartens, boutiques, parks & the lakefront. It's also home to many of the city's "bests" in several categories.

This popular food truck turned brick and mortar has been cranking out some of the city's best empanadas since 2009 (since 2012 in this storefront). Named after the international dialing code for Buenos Aires, 5411 has brought a little bit of Argentina to Clark Street – and there's no mistaking that trademark blue. The space is modern and airy and the patio is perfect for a warm day's quick eats. Plus, 5411 is BYOB. I recommend grabbing a 6-pack nearby (Binny's, etc), a friend and one of many distinctly shaped savory pastries. Don't pass on the Malbec beef. Do not.
