Home to roughly 100,000 proud Chicagoans, Lakeview is a mix of energy. The neighborhood is unofficially divided into smaller enclaves: Lakeview East, West Lakeview, Southport Corridor, Boystown & Wrigleyville. It's a mix of the bustling, the peaceful and everything in between. Here you'll find tourists and residents alike vying for space at popular restaurants, cafes, biergartens, boutiques, parks & the lakefront. It's also home to many of the city's "bests" in several categories.

The Lakefront, and Belmont Harbor, are essentially a slice of Lincoln Park. However, taking in one or the other can be it's own activity really. And although Lakeview's stretch of Lake Michigan doesn't offer any beachfront (gotta go just north or south for that), it does offer spectacular lake views. Imagine that. And, the Lake's shores here are some of the best running and biking anywhere on the city's nearly 30 mile span. Belmont Harbor is one of the city's busiest recreational marinas, where you can charter a boat, take a sailing lesson or just wish you were on a boat. The rest of the lakefront here is quiet, secluded and rewards you for even just making it to the shoreline.
