Home to roughly 100,000 proud Chicagoans, Lakeview is a mix of energy. The neighborhood is unofficially divided into smaller enclaves: Lakeview East, West Lakeview, Southport Corridor, Boystown & Wrigleyville. It's a mix of the bustling, the peaceful and everything in between. Here you'll find tourists and residents alike vying for space at popular restaurants, cafes, biergartens, boutiques, parks & the lakefront. It's also home to many of the city's "bests" in several categories.

The city's – and one of the country's – largest park, Lincoln Park is a behemoth. The main stretch of course lies to the south of Lakeview in the neighborhood that bears its name. But, a good deal of the park still spans north into Lakeview and onward. With over 1,200 acres in total, Lincoln Park has something for any outdoorsy city goer – biking, running, tennis, golf, etc. Lakeview's portion also includes one of the best kept hideaways, in and around the Jarvis Migratory Bird Sanctuary behind Belmont Harbor. From Diversey Avenue to Irving Park Road, the park is the city's best break from the concrete jungle.
