The city bills itself as the "Venice of America" but I don't know about all that. It is however, a pretty eclectic area with no shortage of sunshine or things to do. You can kayak through rich people's backyards, wander into a silent disco or find a coffee shop through a bookcase. What it lacks in mega-clubs & overpriced drinks, it makes up for with unique characters and some good vibes.
Fort Lauderdale is littered with waterways and channels, which can make for some great kayaking.
You can get eye level with everything from an alligator to a sea otter.
It's a creative playground, with toys everywhere. And they'll teach you how to use them, so you can come back and keep using them for your own projects. Satisfy the right brain and stop on by, I mean this is a design blog right?
